Laser hair removal , Genève

The definitive laser hair removal technique to revolutionize hair management in the world of medical aesthetics.

The CLEAGE center goes even further by offering its patients the CLARITY 2 laser from Lutronic, the new world reference in laser hair removal allowing faster more effective and less painful treatments.

All year round thanks to CLARITY II laser technology.

Thanks to its double wavelength, this benchmark medical laser will allow you to epilate your stubborn hairs all year round.

Hair removal by laser technique allows to provide the patient with permanent hair removal over time without pain and without social eviction. When the laser beam hits the skin, the light energy is transformed into thermal energy (heat) which is transmitted to the hair root, which is then destroyed. The hair itself or hair shaft will serve as a vector of energy transmission.

The heat is then transmitted to the nourishing vessels of the hair root, preventing the hair bulb from being reborn in the near future. In order to destroy the hair roots, the hairs must be concentrated in melanin.

This is why all medical hair removal lasers only work on black or dark brown hair.

Laser hair removal therefore does not work on white, blond or red hair, which requires permanent electric hair removal, the reference hair removal method for these types of hair.

The CLEAGE center benefits from Lutronic's latest-generation CLARITY II laser, which can be used to remove hair from all skin types (white, matte, Asian and black) on all areas of the body and face. Each session destroys 10 to 15% of the bulbs permanently, which is why we recommend 6 to 10 sessions depending on the area to be treated (time needed for the appearance of certain hairs over time). The interval between the necessary sessions is about 6 weeks.

  • Pilosity
  • Hirsutism
  • Ingrown hairs or Chronic Folliculitis (bikini, leg, beard, armpit...)
Course of the session

All areas can be treated with CLARITY II. Women frequently use underarm, bikini and leg or facial hair removal, while men use hair removal on the torso, back, armpits or face (beard contour...).

The average number of sessions is about 8 sessions but varies according to the treated area, skin type and gender. For example, underarm hair removal on white skin will be faster than underarm hair removal on black skin.

Duration of treatment:

From 10 min to 1 hour depending on the surface of skin treated.

Course of treatment/technique:

Before starting the laser treatment, the esthetic doctor will examine your skin to eliminate certain temporary contraindications that prevent the laser session (tanning before the session, wounds, waxing or electric hair removal...).

The handpiece is placed on the area to be treated and a laser beam is then fired.

The patient should feel a tingling sensation. A slight redness and swelling is observed, which is reactive to the laser beam. These are transient and disappear very quickly within 24 to 48 hours.

The hairs are eliminated during the session or capture the energy delivered by the laser beam, continue to grow and fall out 2 to 3 weeks after the session.

When to start

Laser hair removal can be started from the end of puberty around 18-19 years of age , when the hormonal secretions that affect hair growth are stable.

At the end of the protocol, more than 95% of the hairs are permanently removed.

1 to 2 annual maintenance sessions are to be planned afterwards to ensure lasting results.

During the laser shot, cold pulsed air is permanently sent to the treated area, making laser hair removal almost painless. In addition, patient comfort can be improved by applying an anesthetic cream 1 to 1.5 hours before the session to the treated area.

Social avoidance:

No sun exposure for 15 days after the laser hair removal session in the treatment area.
